Balthazar Engonga Ebang, who gained notoriety in late 2024 after his s3x tapes went viral on social media, is now facing justice over alleged financial misconduct. He is currently on trial for his management of a state-owned company under the Ministry of Finance.
The trial, which began this Monday and is scheduled to last three days, also includes several other officials from the public enterprise. The prosecution is seeking an 18-year prison sentence for Balthazar Engonga Ebang, along with a fine of nearly one billion CFA francs (the currency of the CEMAC region).
Specifically, the prosecution has requested:
A- 8 years for embezzlement
B- 4 years and 5 months for illicit enrichment
C- 6 years and 1 day for abuse of power
D- A fine of 910 million CFA francs
E- A ban from holding any public office during his sentence
The defense has denied all charges against their clients.
