Israel and Iran Agree to Ceasefire After 12 Days of War – Donald Trump Confirms

United States President Donald Trump says Israel and Iran have agreed to a “complete and total ceasefire” after 12 intense days of conflict. According to his post on Truth Social, Iran will stop its operations first, followed by Israel 12 hours later bringing the war to an official end.

Trump explained that the ceasefire will be rolled out over 24 hours. “Iran will start the CEASEFIRE and, upon the 12th Hour, Israel will start the CEASEFIRE and, upon the 24th Hour, an Official END to THE 12 DAY WAR will be saluted by the World,” he wrote.

The truce comes after deadly exchanges between the two nations hundreds were killed in Iran and dozens in Israel. Trump said both countries agreed to stay “peaceful and respectful” during the ceasefire process.

However, there was some confusion at first. Iran’s Foreign Minister, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, claimed, “As of now, there is NO agreement on any ceasefire or cessation of military operations.” But he later added that Iran might pause attacks if Israel ends its aggression by 4 a.m. Tehran time: “We have no intention to continue our response afterwards.”

Despite Trump’s announcement, Tehran was hit by explosions early Tuesday morning, just hours before the ceasefire was set to begin. Israel also confirmed it intercepted Iranian missiles headed its way.

Still, Trump is optimistic. “I think the ceasefire is unlimited. It’s going to go forever,” he said, praising both nations for their “stamina, courage, and intelligence” in ending the war. He believes the conflict could have gone on for years and destroyed the Middle East.

“It has been fully agreed by and between Israel and Iran…when Israel and Iran have wound down and completed their in-progress, final missions!,… the War will be considered ENDED!” he wrote.

The world is watching closely. Markets reacted quickly as Asian stocks rose, and oil prices dipped after Trump’s post.

U.S. Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, applauded Trump’s effort, calling the ceasefire “historic ceasefire agreement” and a “herculean effort” that deserves thanks from the people of Israel, Iran, the Middle East, America, and the world.
