Nigeria’s former President, Muhammadu Buhari, has passed away.
According to his spokesperson, Mr Buhari died on Sunday at a hospital in London.
“The family of the former president has announced the passing on of the former president, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, this afternoon in a clinic in London. May Allah accept him in Aljannatul Firdaus, Amin,” Garba Shehu posted on X.
EBELENAIJA reports that Mr Buhari had been ill for several weeks and was undergoing treatment at the London hospital.
